Traveling is amazing there’s no doubt about that, but there’s also a lot of time spent in airports, on planes, trains and buses, and just generally feeling a little bored. If you’ve got some time to kill and wondering how best to spend it, then check out these top 4 ways to stay entertained when traveling.
1. Online Entertainment
If you’re traveling on a plane, bus or train that has an Internet connection then you’ll probably find it somewhat easier to keep yourself entertained, but after a few hours even the Internet gets boring. You’ll want to check out Online Casinos as a fun way to keep yourself entertained. You may even be able to win some money, and who doesn’t love winning money?
Nowadays it’s so much easier and more affordable to read a book, that I think you’re crazy if you don’t. If you have a Kindle you can easily find cheap books online, many of which are free to download! If you don’t have a Kindle, you can download the Kindle App for your smartphone, meaning you get almost all the benefits of a Kindle without an additional investment. If you’re like me, you may find it a little boring to sit down and read, and that’s when Audiobooks can be the perfect solution. You can listen to them when you’re on a flight, walking around the airport, even taking local transport to your new destination. It’s a super easy way to read a book without having to be sat in one place reading.
3. Card Games
I love traveling with a deck of cards as it’s a wonderful way to make new friends and keep myself entertained when there’s no power or Internet around. The great thing about traveling with a deck of cards is that there are a bunch of games you can play, but a deck barely takes up any room in your suitcase. You could easily whip out the cards and play a game or 10 of speed while waiting for your flight, likewise you can use it to keep yourself entertained if you’re traveling somewhere super isolated.
4. Download Shows
With Netflix, you can now download shows to your iPad allowing you to watch them back at a later date. You can also download shows and movies to your computer and other devices to watch at a later date. Just make sure your devices are fully charged so you can get as much value out of them as possible. Once when I was on an overnight train in Vietnam, we played Casablanca on my laptop in our tiny little cabin, it was super fun!
Traveling is great but there are a lot of times where things get a little boring. Use these four tips to keep yourself entertained no matter where you’re headed or for how long.
